Congratulations on the wonderful resource that you've created for all of us! It is such a treat to connect to our old friends and memories from Washburn Rural. We were having some fun over Thanksgiving holiday with my "little" brother, Peter, who wore the little "Ichabod" costume. Does anyone remember that? I will have to tell him to check out the web page! His wife thinks it's hysterical!
Keep up the good work and thanks for the happy memories you have helped renew for me, my sisters, and, yes, Peter. Michele/Mikey/Clug

Les ... Pull up the directory for the class of '67 ... maybe you can find someone there who may know her whereabouts. You might also try looking for her father or maybe a brother since their last names have not changed! Good Luck!! Did you get yourself registered with your contact information? This website is permanent, so we may eventually find EVERYONE!!!

Reunion 2000 in the Sunflower State -- What a FANTASTIC job everyone did to plan, organize and pull off this great collection of attendees/grads of WRHS! I salute you! Karen Stroud Eastman, you did a fabulous job in gathering all us '61 grads and I THANK YOU. Jack and Jill Bybee, thanks for allowing us to share your beautiful countryside to gather, meet, eat and enjoy. Glad I attended-had a great time-it was wonderful seeing all again and Kettle Corn -- MAN-O-MAN, some kinda good. Later.

Superb - What other word could you use? I loved being at THE time-capsule OF OUR CENTURY...except not one person really aged... OK, a few gray hairs and a few hairs missing - but they were still young. I knew many of my classmates and upper classmates from my grade shcool days because my folks took us to almost every WR game for our weekly entertainment. Thanks goodness. So even though I didn't complete my years there, I have heartfelt memories of my short time at WR and even more fun memoreies from the reunion. Everybody was very receptive and warm- thank God the pride and camaraderie from our hearts and souls will always be...
There were some extra sweet people who kept saying I had not changed....thanks for you kindness. You know who you are. My thanks goes out to EVERYONE WHO helped put this fun-filled event together. Looking forward to the next gala event and hope I can visit a little more. Linda

WOW! It's over and it was in fact a "Grand Reunion"!!! We had over 170 guests attend one or all of the functions! A lot of hard work was accomplished by many so a grand time could be had by all! I crashed on Sunday afternoon, but its now Tuesday morning after the fact and I'm ready to start on our next one! I have NEVER in my life had so many compliments as I received over all of last weekend! So many of you thanked me for helping me get this Grand Reunion off the ground, and I thank each and every one of you for coming and enjoying yourselves. It was truly a labor of love for Lyla Ralston Accardi and me! Mark your calendars ... there will be another reunion about this same time of year in 2004! Better be there, or we might talk about you!!! LOL Please stay in touch!!

Hi Connie...How I have thought of you over the years. It will be such a pleasure to see you again. I have given several folks your email, as they were excited to know where you are now too. I have been helping the committee find the 61 class. Have you kept up with any of them? If so, let me knowm, as there are about 1/3 of them that I cannot find (so far). Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you at the reunion! Karen

Karen, it was so good to see everyone again. I wish we could do this every year. I'm sending you a brochure about taking the tax classes to be able to prepare tax returns. I'm also including my business card. You should probably contact the main office in Topeka at (785) 272-5577. The regional manager's name is Bob Meyer but you also talk to a lady named Connie if she's in the office (she is the assistant to Bob). I think you would enjoy doing tax returns. The computer makes it so easy. Like I told you, you learn first by doing it manually on regular tax forms. Then you start learning to put the information on the computer. Basically you learn what it looks like on the forms and after putting it on the computer, you see if it is correct or that you left something out. After doing them for a while you will be able to recognize if you did something wrong or left something out. Like I said, I really enjoy doing tax returns, they are fun.

If you are really interested let me know and I'll let them know to expect your phone call. Classes starting soon.
