Washburn Rural was the 13th school I attended in my school career. Graduated in 1956. Lost my father when his plane crashed in Feb. 1956. We stayed in Topeka and I went to Washburn Univ. Graduated in 1961. Went to work for the State of Kansas. Met my husband Ron (an AF Lt.) and continued the nomadic life style for another 20 years. The AF sent my husband to the Pentagon in 1978 and we settled in Virginia. I worked for the Republican National Party in Washington, DC, and went from there to work at the White House during the Bush- Quayle Administration (1989-1993). When we were "fired by the people", I retired to work full-time on my family genealogy.
